JUSTITIA, a Hero for Sexual Violence Survivor

Justitia Avila Veda has a strong desire to help survivors of sexual violence cases wherever they are. As a lawyer, Justitia tries to help victims of sexual violence to get justice before the law. But it doesn't stop there. Justitia understands very well that cases of sexual violence in Indonesia are very high. However, not all victims of this case have the courage and ability to report it. 

Finally, in June 2020, Justitia and 15 of her lawyer friends provided special legal assistance for victims of sexual violence. This legal assistance is provided free of charge to anyone This program is known as Advocates Group for Gender Justice. 

The legal assistance provided by Justitia and friends through this program is unique. They provide technology-based legal assistance through real-time tele-consultation services. Challenges that must be faced Justitia's good intentions in helping victims of sexual violence do not always go well. There are many challenges that he and the team must face. Starting from the limited human resources who can handle complaints of sexual violence to the many legal articles that can provide loopholes for suspects. 

It took a long time for Justitia to build this service. Even obstacles from the victim's side are also a challenge that is very complicated to overcome. Most victims are not mentally ready to receive legal assistance in cases of sexual violence. If Justitia had given up midway because of all these obstacles, perhaps this digital-based assistance service for victims of sexual violence would never have existed. However, Justitia and the team working in it continue to strive to provide this assistance to victims of sexual violence.

What Justitia built as a form of concern for victims of sexual violence turned out to produce good results. They ultimately helped many victims to obtain legal justice. The process takes place digitally and is technology-based, making victims feel more comfortable and confident.

 Thanks to the hard work of Justitia and her team, in 2022 she managed to win the SATU Indonesia Awards ftom Astra International tbk. in the Health category. Justitia's efforts to provide services that can help victims of sexual violence have received real appreciation. Until now, Justitia continues to help victims of sexual violence to obtain legal justice. She has handled various types of cases. Many victims felt helped and were finally free from the torment that plagued them. Of course Justitia will not stop fighting and helping other survivors. 

Sexual violence is not a case that can be taken lightly. The impact is so great that for the victim it can even trigger prolonged trauma. Justitia's contribution in helping victims is truly worthy of appreciation. Young Indonesians should also emulate the enthusiasm and optimism that shines in Justitia. 

There are many forms of contribution that we can make in society for the common good. Justitia is able to utilize her skills and abilities in the legal field very well. Let's also focus on our own abilities and start contributing to help others and make changes that benefit many people. Apart from having a great spirit, Justitia also has a big heart to do good to others. 

Let's emulate Justitia's spirit and spread goodness even wider. If there is an obstacle in front of your eyes, then don't make it an obstacle.
